Upcoming Events

Throughout the year, we have many different events ranging from a couple hours to a couple of weeks in length. We play games, eat lots of food, go to fun places, worship in different settings, and spend time serving the community. Mostly, we'll do anything as long as we're together! Check this space every couple weeks for the lastest details for the events that are coming up!
Parent’s Meetings for Fall Semester!

Be sure to mark your calendar with these upcoming important meetings. For your convenience you have the option of choosing from three various times to meet with Brian to go over this upcoming semester and to ask any questions.

September 3rd, 8 p.m. in Forum (Youth Room)
September 7th, during second service in rooms Y27 (Next to Youth Room)
September 9th, 7 p.m. in Y14/15 (Next to Youth Room)

Youth Membership Class
If your student is interested in becoming an official member of NFC they will need to attend the youth membership class. E-mail Stacie Ballard (sballard@nfcnaz.org) if you are interested. This class is required for membership.

Class will be September 10th, 8-9 p.m. in Forum (Youth Room)

NYC Interest Meeting

For more information about NYC visit: http://www.nfcnaz.org/ministries/teens/nyc-2015.html. We will be meeting to discuss fundraising and the logistics of this upcoming trip. If you are planning on attending NYC or even just want to know more about what it is, or if you may be interested you will want to be at this meeting. This meeting is potluck style so bring a dish to share! It starts at 12:30 so you will have a little bit after late to go home and grab your dish if you need.

September 14th, 12:30 p.m. in the Forum 

Seminar for Middle School Parents 
(Northwest Nazarene University)

September 6th, 8:30 a.m.-noon

This seminar will include practical advice for parents of Middle School students on topics such as phrasing things so that your student can hear you, detecting warning signs of serious issues, building the kind of relationship with your student that your student wants and needs and many, many more. This will be a great opportunity to interact with other parents and discuss some of the large issues your students are facing during this time in their life.

Registration is $15 if you bring your own lunch and register before August 26th. Registration after that with brining your own lunch is $20. You will need to register through NNU at: http://wesleycenter.nnu.edu/home/cynthia-tobias

Back to School Bash (The Seward Household)
September 7th, 5-8 pm

The Back to School Bash is an annual event where we all get together, both Middle School and High School students to celebrate kicking off another school year! This is a free event due to the all access pass fundraising our church partners with us in. There will be food, swimming and lots of fun. Mark your calendar and plan to meet at the church for us to all ride together over to the Sewards! 

Leadership Retreat (Idaho)

October 17-19th

This year we will be doing our first youth leadership retreat! This will be a very specific retreat for those who really want to dive into what it means to lead out of their faith and gifts God has given them.

Once you register you will be e-mailed an access code specific to your student attending the retreat to take the Clifton Strength's Finders Assessment. Please follow the information in the e-mail sent to you to take the strength's finders quiz. You will need to turn in a copy of your results to the church office prior to the retreat. 

We will be leaving the church at 8 a.m. on Friday, October 17th and returning around 3 or 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th. Please eat breakfast before we leave and bring a packed lunch with you. 


Harvest Party (The Watanabe Household)

October 26th

Fa la la la Christmas Party (Ferdinand Hall)

December 13th, 4:30-8:30 p.m.

Our annual Christmas party will be on December 13th this year. Our theme will be announced soon. Be prepared for a fun scavenger hunt, pictures with Santa, a delicious dinner, and a gift exchange! Stay tuned for more details.
