Pastor Mike Wiebe is a vocalist, keyboard player, and songwriter, who also has a passion for men’s ministries (see link to “Authentic Men”). He graduated from Northwest Nazarene University and Pacific Lutheran University with BA’s in Social Science Ed and Music respectively. In 2004 Mike completed a doctoral program in worship studies through the Robert Webber Institute for Worship Studies. He and his wife Julie love to travel to Ketchikan, Alaska to visit grandkids, and also to fish!
Mike’s music responsibilities at Nampa First Church include leading worship in the sanctuary service at 10:45 a.m. each Sunday, and at 6 p.m. in the gym each Sunday night. Mike also leads the NFC choir, writes and arranges songs for worship and choir, and has directed music for NFC’s annual Easter Pageant, “No Greater Love”, for the last 22 years. His men’s ministry responsibilities include working with Pastor Jim Vogel on “Authentic Men” breakfasts each month, and leading several small groups of men each week.
